That’s a wrap
Thank you for joining us.
It was an entertaining game. There will be lots of celebrations for the Australians while Tunisian coach Jalel Kadri will need to have some hard conversations with his team.
You can read our match report on the game here.
Good result against Denmark could see Aussies advance to knockout stage
Australia deserved the win. They were the better team in the first half. Even when under pressure in the second half, the Socceroos were comfortable in defence with Tunisia struggling to seriously threaten the goal of Mat Ryan.
Australia are very much alive in the World Cup again, and a positive result against Denmark in their final game could see them advance to the last 16.
For Tunisia, they need nothing less than a win against France in their final game.
Edits to Souttar’s Wiki page mid-match
It appears that interesting things have happened to Harry Souttar’s Wikipedia page during the game.
While he plays for the Socceroos, he was born in Scotland and represented Scotland at the U17 and U19 levels before switching his allegiance to Australia at the U23 level.
Harry Souttar's Wikipedia page has already been changed and the game hasn't even finished.
"Born in Scotland, he represents the Australia national team and just played an amazing World Cup game against Tunisia."
People of the internet, your speed astounds me.

Game over!
Australia win 1-0.
The victory keeps their World Cup hopes alive after their 4-1 defeat to France in the opener.
Sassi is booked
Sassi is booked. He is not in agreement with the referee’s decision and is making it known.
Tunisia’s attacking inefficiencies have shown in this game. They now have only three minutes to find an equalizer. They have not truly tested the Australian defence.
90+3 mins: Tunisia 0-1 Australia
There will be six minutes of added time
There will be six minutes of second-half stoppage time.
90 mins: Tunisia 0-1 Australia
Souttar has been brilliant for Australia
Souttar again is the man coming to the defensive rescue of Australia. He gets the ball away from Sliti who would have been through on goal.
Khazri shoots after another Tunisian attack but his effort could not trouble Ryan.
88 mins: Tunisia 0-1 Australia
Australia make a double change
Baccus and Mabil are on. Goodwin and Leckie make way.
85 minutes: Tunisia 0-1 Australia
Tunisia using long-ball tactics
With time winding down, Tunisia are resorting to long balls.
They appeal for a penalty after a Khazri corner but German referee Daniel Siebert is not interested.
82 mins: Tunisia 0-1 Australia
Tunisia need Khazri on the ball
Tunisia are dominating possession, with 57 percent of the ball, but failing to be constructive in attack.
So far, Khazri is struggling to get onto the ball after coming on.
If Tunisia want to mount a comeback, now is the time to try and get the ball to the veteran.
79 minutes: Tunisia 0-1 Australia
Australia’s defence is disciplined
Ryan easily gets onto the end of a long ball from Tunisia before Khenissi could.
Degenek is on for Australia and off is Karacic.
Tunisia have under 15 minutes to find an equaliser.
76 minutes: Tunisia 0-1 Australia
Can Khazri inspire Tunisia?
Newly introduced Wahbi Khazri is Tunisia’s second-highest goalscorer with 24 goals since making his debut in 2013. In the 2018 World Cup, the former Sunderland man scored twice against Belgium and Panama.
Did you know that he represented France at the U-21 level before changing allegiance to Tunisia in 2012?
Double change for Tunisia
Bronn and Jebali are off. On come Kechrida and Khenissi.
73 minutes: Tunisia 0-1 Australia
Australia come close
Maclaren uses his renewed energy to get down the field and whips in a neat cross. Leckie nearly meets it and had he done so, it would have been a certain goal.
Tunisia are lucky to escape there.
72 mins: Tunisia 0-1 Australia
Jebali looks tired
Tunisia have had virtually all possession of the ball since the start of the second half, but their shooting in front of the goal has been below average.
Jebali was in a good position though his pass was rather lethargic and not pleasing to the eye. It would not have counted anyway as his teammate was offside.
70 minutes: Tunisia 0-1 Australia
It’s Khazri time
It’s surprising Tunisia took so long to introduce their number 10.
Khazri is finally on, replacing Laidouni.
67 mins: Tunisia 0-1 Australia
Limbs, everywhere
It’s fair to say that fans back in Australia enjoyed Duke’s first-half goal. And why wouldn’t they? It was their fourth goal only in the World Cup since 2006.

Australia make two changes
Duke and McGree are withdrawn. On are Maclaren and Hrustic.
Abdi is shown a yellow card for Tunisia.
64 minutes: Tunisia 0-1 Australia
Tunisia on the front foot
Tunisia have looked promising in the second half so far and the ball has predominantly been in the Australian half. Jebali has looked threatening and is causing problems for the Australian centre-backs. Tunisia are on top but they are yet to craft a clear goal-scoring opportunity.
