‘From the first minute, we were on them’
More reaction from the Liverpool camp now. Szoboszlai has been speaking with TNT Sport.
“Today, we showed the right direction where we want to go and what we want to show everybody”.
On scoring again: “I don’t care when or how I am scoring, I just want to score and help the team and do everything possible to help the team succeed.”
On motivation for tonight: “From the first minute, we were on them. After the last game, during the interview, I heard them celebrating … I took it personally, and a couple of us did. I am still in the mind of never celebrating too early. Maybe they didn’t mean it, but it gave us a little push.”
On facing PSG next: “I watched them play against Chelsea yesterday, they didn’t become a worse team than last season. But we showed today that we are able to do everything.”
Liverpool march on
After two 1-0 defeats to Galatasaray this season, Liverpool finally get the better of The Lions.
What could have been a nervy night turned into a walk in the park for the Premier League champions.
Szoboszlai’s first-half goal levelled the tie, and Ekitike put Liverpool ahead just six minutes into the second half.
Gravenberch made it 3-0 shortly after, before Salah put the icing on the cake with his 50th Champions League goal.

‘We could win 10-0!’
Hugo Ekitike has been giving some reaction to TNT Sport on the pitch at Anfield.
“I think we deserve to be here [in the quarterfinals]. I am really happy; I think we did a great job tonight.
“We could win 10-0, but we missed a few chances, but still did a good job, and we can be proud of us.”
On Mo Salah reaching 50 goals in the Champions League: “He is a legend. I think sometimes people say he has a difficult season, but for us who have been watching him for years, we know he is important … I am really happy for him”
On facing his old club PSG: “I can’t wait to be there!”
