As Afghanistan continues to be plagued by violence, corruption and a resurgent Taliban, critics warn that the handover is happening too soon and may lead the country back to civil war.
This transition comes as an investigation by the German magazine Der Spiegel uncovered photographs which appear to document abuses carried out by US troops in Afghanistan, including the killing of innocent civilians.
We will be discussing those issues with Staffan de Mistura, the special representative of the secretary-general for Afghanistan to the UN Security Council; and Ahmad Majidyar, a senior research associate at the American Enterprise Institute.
